Sound familiar?

“We’d love to offer Drums Alive, but there are no licensed instructors in our area.”
“Our budget won’t support hiring an instructor for just 2 or 3 classes per week.”
“Our instructor can’t teach more hours, and residents keep asking for more.”
“We need consistent programming across all our locations.”

Studio solves all four.

Since launching in April 2026, facilities across North America have used Drums Alive Studio to run professional classes on their own schedule. Your activity staff simply press play. Participants of every ability level, seated or standing, drum along with a certified Master Trainer on screen.

  • Unlimited participants in every class, whether your room holds 6 or 60
  • A growing library of 18+ complete classes, with 2 new classes added every month
  • Classes 7 days a week, never cancelled for instructor unavailability
  • Consistent quality across every site for multi-location organizations
  • Evidence-based programming built on peer-reviewed Drums Alive research

💡 Start with What You Have

Drums Alive was created to be adaptable and inclusive. The official Drums Alive equipment provides the ideal experience, but it isn’t required to begin. Many facilities start with creative alternatives they already have on hand: chair backs, tabletops, or walkers as drumming surfaces, pool noodles or Boomwhackers® in place of drumsticks, and laundry baskets or milk crates as bucket bases. As your program grows, add official Drums Alive equipment at your own pace, and we’ll help you choose the right package when you’re ready.

The most important ingredient isn’t the equipment. It’s creating joyful movement through rhythm, music, and connection.

Start with what you have. Grow at your own pace. Create joyful movement from day one.

Frequently asked questions

What equipment do we need?
A TV, computer, or tablet to display classes, an internet connection for streaming, and something to drum on. The official Drums Alive equipment provides the best overall experience, and we’ll gladly help you select the right equipment package for your facility. However, you don’t need to purchase everything before getting started. Many facilities begin with items they already have available, including chair backs, tabletops, or walkers as drumming surfaces, pool noodles, Boomwhackers®, or wooden utensils instead of drumsticks, and laundry baskets, milk crates, or inflatable swim tubes instead of bucket bases. As your program grows, you can transition to official Drums Alive equipment at your own pace, and we’ll provide guidance to fit your budget, space, and participants.
How many classes are included?
The library currently includes 18+ complete classes, and we add 2 new classes every month. All classes are included in your subscription with no per-class fees.
What if we already have a licensed Drums Alive instructor?
Perfect! Our Instructor Supplement pricing ($59/month) is designed for facilities that want to expand an existing program. Use Studio to offer classes when your instructor isn’t available, add evening or weekend time slots, provide vacation coverage, or give your instructor a break without cancelling classes. Many facilities run the hybrid model: live instructor classes 2 or 3 times per week, supplemented with streaming classes for additional slots.
Is this replacing live Drums Alive instructors?
Not at all. Licensed instructors bring personal connection, real-time feedback, and community building that technology can’t replace. Studio exists to bring Drums Alive to communities without instructor access, help facilities with budget constraints offer classes, supplement existing programs so instructors don’t burn out, and provide consistent programming across locations. This platform expands Drums Alive’s reach; it doesn’t replace the incredible work instructors do.
What music is used in classes?
Studio classes feature a mix of high-quality covers and carefully curated royalty-free music chosen specifically to energize Drums Alive classes.
Can we try it before committing?
We offer flexible monthly subscriptions that you can cancel anytime with 30 days notice, so you can test the platform with your participants and make sure it’s the right fit before committing to a year.
What happens if we need to cancel?
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime with 30 days notice. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at renewal, and we’ll remind you 30 days beforehand.
Are there any setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees, no equipment rental fees, no per-participant charges, no hidden costs. Your subscription includes complete platform access, all current classes, monthly new content, technical support, and unlimited participants. The only additional cost would be purchasing equipment (stability balls, drumsticks) if you don’t already have it.
How do at-home subscriptions work?
Individuals can stream the full class library at home for $24.99/month, or $14.99/month for current Drums Alive members. Sign up any time at studio.drums-alive.com and cancel whenever you like.
